Crying Out for Help

Today, for the first time in roughly 10,000 resume’s I’ve had the displeasure of receiving, I received a resume’ with a photograph attached. The person’s education and work background could not have been more unrelated to the job posting if they tried, but she felt if I saw how “hot” she was, I would give her an interview.

It’s really an interesting approach. I have to hand it to her. Of course, aside from snickering at her stupidity and wondering what I should do with the photograph, I never plan on actually interviewing her. Still, I have to wonder if this has worked for her in the past… or for anyone…

I was opposed to swapping mug shots with people I met online who were potential people for me to date (back before I met Jenna), just because I thought it was a superficial, retarded thing to worry about. The first time I saw Jenna was when I met her in Philly.

If I don’t want to have a photo of someone I’m going to potentially date, I certainly don’t want a photo of someone who wants to be an employee.

Anyhow, if there are any superficial managers out there in Kansas City looking for an executive assistant, I’ll be happy to forward her resume’!

In other news, Garth Brooks announced that one of his 9 shows he’s doing in November at the Sprint Center in KC will be simulcast in theaters nationwide, so get your tickets early! His 9 shows sold out in less than 2 hours.
