Welcome to the Twilight Zone
I heard this story on the news this morning and I literally found myself at a loss for words. However, the more I’ve thought about it, the more I’m finding a vast amount of humor in it.
A woman who went in 2004 for an abortion is suing two doctors and Planned Parenthood for botching her abortion. What do I mean by botched? Well, I mean she gave birth to a healthy baby girl, who is now at least 2 years old.
She’s suing for damages and hopes to get money to cover all the costs of raising the child.
First, I love it when 2 wrongs make a right, which having our screwed up legal system beating up on Planned Parenthood most certainly is. Then there’s the poor child who will inevitably KNOW that not only did her mother try to kill her, but that she sued the people who failed to kill her.
If it makes it to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, I’m sure they’ll order the baby executed by lethal injection. It was her mother’s decision to make, after all.
