The Senate’s version of healthcare reform will be weak on abortion, if not blatantly fund it. According to CNN research poll, 61% of Americans are opposed to federal funding of abortion, however Harry Reid and his cronies don’t care.

Why is federal funding of abortion wrong?

Imagine if you will a Republican majority in Congress that decided federal funds should be used to prevent homosexual couples from adopting children. Republicans are generally opposed to homosexuals being allowed to adopt, and Democrats are generally supportive of it. Democrat’s conscience tells them that this is discrimination and that it’s wrong, and they CERTAINLY shouldn’t have THEIR tax dollars going towards such an initiative.

Hmmmmmm.

Republicans, and more importantly, Christians, believe that abortion is murder of a baby. In fact, ALL scientific fact and evidence supports this belief. There is not one single scientific argument that could ever be used to prove that a “fetus” is NOT a baby. Separate blood types, DNA, heartbeats, brainwaves… fetuses don’t share any of those things with the mother. It’s a seperate entity. And by genetic definition, it is HUMAN. If it’s a seperate HUMAN entity scientifically speaking, then how can anyone think it’s ok to kill?

Well, that’s irrelevant to the Democrats, because they’ve made it a PRIVACY issue, something that has virtually nothing to do with anything. We can’t prevent abortion because that violates the mother’s privacy? What? So by that logic we shouldn’t be allowed to prevent animal cruelty or serial killing so long as it’s occurring on private property.

Regardless, abortion goes against the conscience of a MAJORITY of Americans. THUS, we shouldn’t have to PAY for it.

End of argument.

Whatever else can be said about the foolhardy healthcare reform bills they are planning to vote on at 1:00 AM the week before Christmas when everyone’s asleep (hmmm again), we can say for sure that it will change our country forever.

Those of you who are for it, are you REALLY confident that this cloak-and-dagger bill is going to make things BETTER?

Yesterday I put a joking remark about our dear sweet President Obama on a friend’s Facebook status. It was humorous, assuming you had the intelligence to sense my sarcasm.

Well, one of that friend’s OTHER friends took offense and decided that a good response would be to call me a chump (which is defined as a “stupid or gullible person”).

Even if you took my Obama comment seriously, what person is so lame that they take offense to a comment by a complete stranger on SOMEONE ELSE’S Facebook page?

I told him I’d rather be a chump than a jerk, then my friend made us stop the conversation.

I was extremely curious as to what made him think it was a good idea to attack me personally, considering he does not know me, does not know my politics, does not know my sense of humor. My friend DOES know those things, which is why it was more than likely humorous to her.

Mr. Jerk decided to put his two cents in like an idiot.

It’s no secret to you, my loyal readers, that I think Obama is at best highly overrated and at worst, sinister. But he would have no way of knowing that.

To put this all into perspective, the offending party’s profile picture on Facebook is an AVATAR. The kind where you try to design a digital character that resembles yourself…

Clearly he’s trying to hide acid burns or his hideous freak show of a face. Or maybe just the fact that he lives in his mommy’s basement and plays D&D all day.

Anyhow, since he’s not my Facebook friend, I doubt he’ll ever read this, but if he does, I challenge him to a battle of wits. To the death.

As you may have heard, the House passed Obamacare (spell check recommends I replace “Obamacare” with “Macaroni” which I happen to think is a great idea) by a narrow margin on Saturday. One of the ways they bought the votes was to amend the bill to exclude taxpayer funding for abortions. However, Democrat leaders are vowing to add it back in with an amendment before the Senate vote. Planned Parenthood is a powerful lobby.

So my question is this.

If Democrats want my tax money to pay for something I believe is immoral, shouldn’t the Democrat taxpayers have to pay for something for me that THEY think is immoral? I’m thinking the government should hand out fully automatic machine guns to all Americans.

I’m pro-gun, and I think an armed society is a polite society. I certainly don’t have any girly notion that guns are bad. Democrats are always whining and wussing (yes, I did make up a new word) about guns, and I’d imagine they’d be pretty ticked if their tax dollars were spent arming people.

Then I thought about it some more. I believe a “fetus” is a baby, and now they’re planning to use MY money to kill babies. The gun idea isn’t really equivalent, because they are killing people and I’m just getting a new toy.

My second plan is to have taxpayer funding of mass-killing of homosexuals. (I hope you’re smart enough to get that I’m being sarcastic) A large percentage of the country seems to have issues with them, so let’s make it fair. You get to use my money to kill babies, but Conservatives get to use YOUR money to kill gay people.

Ridiculous, right?

That’s what we’ve come to in this country. Whatever bull-headedness W had is nothing compared with what the Democrats are up to now. Republicans have been completely shut out of the process.

But Pete, W took us to war that we all disagreed with!

Wrong. W had the backing of congress, and backing of the vast majority of Americans before invading Iraq. You just forgot you were in support of it because the spin doctors have been twisting the message for so long.

Stop rewriting history. Free insurance is not going to be free, you idiots.

Obama, Pelosi, and Reid are going to take this country to its knees before this is all over. I fear for our children.

I’m sure you’ve all heard Jimmy Carter’s recent interview where he called “an overwhelming majority” of those who oppose the president are doing so out of racism.

I suppose an overwhelming majority of those who opposed W were racists, too?

Jimmy Carter was one of the most inept presidents in our country’s history, and his policies nearly sunk us into depression in the late 70’s and early 80’s. He was SO inept that not only did he only serve one term – a difficult thing for any president – but most Democrats don’t even want to claim him as one of theirs.

I speak with Democrats every day, and most of them would say Carter was a bumbling idiot.

Carter’s race-baiting commentary just proves once again what a twit he is. I agree with what Michael Steele (the president of the RNC, who is 100% black, unlike Obama who is only half black), who said that it was just a flat out lie, and that the Democrats are obviously trying to discredit anyone who disagrees with their policies.

The people at the tea parties are not racists, they are anti-big-government. I am, too!

And if you’re a real American, so are you.

It’s being reported today that the Dems are considering invoking some obscure congressional rules that would allow them to pass health care with just 51 votes rather than 60. That means even without all of the Dems on board, they have the votes to pass whatever cockamamie idea they cook up.

The Dems say the Republicans aren’t interested in negotiating a bipartisan bill, however the Republicans feel they’ve already been completely shut out of the process.

Americans clearly don’t want this bill to pass, as evidenced by the polls and the protests, but a little fact like that won’t stop the Dems from doing this.

I feel conflicted about this.

On the one hand, passing this idiocy will kill the economy and the quality of healthcare for GENERATIONS. It will be nearly impossible to undo.

On the other hand, it’s destined to be a colossal clusterf@!%, and if the Dems pass it without a single Republican vote, it will be a huge political win for the Republicans.

However, when it comes to the choice between the country being screwed and the Republicans getting a win, that’s not really a win…

Folks, you’re running out of time to be heard. I’m not sure if you’ll be heard even if you try, but you should at least throw something in front of this train so that you won’t share in the responsibility for the coming fiasco.

Tony Blair was a popular guy, elected by the people, promised to fix everything… and he hosed up the UK irreparably. Obama and his cronies are about to follow his footsteps.

The Democrats can suck my big toe.

These protesters at the health care town halls are not minions of some evil conspiracy. They are regular citizens who are ticked about the concept of government-run health care.

Agree or disagree with their politics, but to say they don’t have a right to vocalize their beliefs is un-American. The Democrats have been planting questions for town halls, sending their own angry constituents, etc. for years. During the campaign that was their main tool.

It’s such a despicable double standard they’re applying.

If people don’t get loud and voice their objections, this health care ship is going to sail and we’ll NEVER be able to undo it. That’s why people are bent out of shape over it.

The Democrats did the same kind of demonization when the fair tax people held their tea parties. These were not fringe lunatics or anti-American protesters. They weren’t even anti-Obama protesters. They were anti-tax protesters. They were simply people who didn’t want to be taxed in order to bail out corporations… something the Democrats decided to do IN SPITE of the objections of the majority of Americans.

Private corporate takeovers were not something devised by the Bush people… that was ALL Obama.

That’s why it’s not acceptable to question. You can protest anything so long as it wasn’t Obama’s idea or important agenda point.

Obama’s health care reform is a giant cluster@#$@ that needs to be killed before it becomes law. We do not need the Borg running our lives.

We all know how screwed up Medicare, Social Security, etc. have become. Every time we turn around they’re more messed up.

Why don’t we just cancel the programs?

Well, because too many people feel entitled. Entitlement means those programs will never get cut, because politicians are afraid the backlash would leave them without a job.

After the August recess, congress will vote on nationalized healthcare.

If it passes, that’s it. You’re stuck with it for the rest of your life. No ifs, ands, or buts. The program will cost more than anyone expects, it will be more screwed up than anyone expects, it will have terrible consequences (rationed care, less doctors, government deciding if you can have an operation).

But whatever cluster@#$@ the program becomes…. you will never get rid of it.

If the Democrats botch this, which they are dead set on doing, you can kiss quality healthcare and relatively low taxes goodbye. Small businesses will have no choice but to lay people off to afford the new system (not because healthcare will cost more, but because small businesses will pay higher taxes to fund the program).

Mark my words. Once this is done, it’s done.

You and your children and grandchildren will be stuck with whatever ill-conceived, half-baked, cockamamie plan the Democrats force through. The bill will be well over 1,000 pages, and not ONE person in congress will read it before voting for it.

I speak the truth.

If we don’t find a way to stop this, the federal government will become the Borg. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

Obama knows he has to push through his insane healthcare plan between now and 2010. People are already starting to wake up to his form of pure spending insanity and realizing his agenda (which he promised all along) is for real. I expect the Democrats to give up a lot of seats in Congress in 2010.

Obama’s healthcare plan, besides being communism, is going to cost a trillion dollars that we don’t have. Keep in mind this is the government we’re talking about, so if they say it will cost a trillion, it will cost at least 5 trillion. A trillion dollars is 15% of our GDP. That’s a pretty big chunk to spend all in one place, especially when you’re talking about taking something out of the private sector (where people have to compete) and putting it into the government’s control (who notoriously wastes money and does things inefficiently).

A trillion dollars. Let’s assume just for grins that it actually only costs a trillion dollars. Where are we going to come up with an extra trillion bucks? We certainly don’t have it right now.

There are three ways we can get this money.

1. We can tax the bejeezus out of somebody. That’s bad because it kills small businesses and increases unemployment.

2. We can print up the money. That’s bad, because it leads to hyperinflation. Anybody want a 3 billion dollar Big Mac?

3. We can borrow the money from some despotic nation. That’s bad, because it increases interest rates and it means that China owns more of America than America does.

Washington is out of control. To be fair, they’ve been out of control for a long time, under both parties.

If we don’t reign it in soon, there won’t be a country left. Russia used to be a superpower. Look what happened to them when the government tried to do everything… not pretty.

Canadians have to come to America to get health care. They have to wait months for a simple procedure. The government there rations out health care, so if you aren’t expected to live… sorry!

I don’t think we’re ready to try that. Canada is currently in the process of re-privatizing healthcare, because guess what…. socializing it was huge failure.

I’m so glad we can learn from other people’s mistakes.

Not.

There are numerous articles today an all the major news networks. Here is one summary: Obama Screws Bondholders in Favor of UAW.

When you buy a bond, you expect that it’s a safe investment. You should get your principle back with interest. If the company goes bankrupt, you stand a good chance of getting a substantial portion of your investment back, because bondholders would be paid back right after secured assets. It’s not like stock – which in bankruptcy probably becomes worthless. A bond is basically a personal loan TO a corporation.

Bondholders had more than 27 billion invested in GM, the UAW around 10 billion.

Under Obama’s dictum, the bondholders will end up with a 10% stake in GM, and the UAW a 40% stake. It’s even worse at Chrysler, with UAW getting 55% (a controlling interest) in the company. Obama’s administration owns the rest of both companies.

Now, without putting on your Democrat hats, can anyone out there explain that math to me?

Of course you can’t. It’s a political restructuring of companies designed to redistribute wealth wherever Obama sees fit. In this case, it’s payback to the UAW for the many years of support, and philosophically it gives money back to the “hard working people” of the companies while screwing the “greedy corporate investors.” Never mind that it’s completely unfair and sets a precedent we won’t end up liking.

Who in their right mind would help a company by investing in bonds if the government can swoop in and give the company to someone else?

In bankruptcy, GM and Chrysler would have had a completely different restructuring, one that rewarded people for their ACTUAL investment in the companies rather than rewarding people for their contributions to a political campaign.

If you aren’t outraged, you aren’t paying attention.
