The Chiefs may have jumped the shark with their embarrassing loss at home to Buffalo today.

Matt Cassel looked like the quarterback equivalent to Lin Elliot, our infamous kicker who lost our last playoff game for us because he “didn’t want to slip and fall.”

Cassel added insult to injury by stating that he had ZERO mental mistakes during the game (during which he threw 4 interceptions).

Our 63 Million dollar man looks like a bust. Awesome.

Losing to the Bills means we will likely have a blackout for Cleveland next week. In fact, I’d call it inevitable. People simply aren’t going to pay good money to sit outside and freeze to watch two of the worst teams in the NFL.

The problem with blackouts is that they breed blackouts. People start to remember all of the other things they can do with their afternoon, or worse yet… they watch other, BETTER football teams play and choose a new allegiance. Blackouts are the beginning of the end for an NFL fanbase.

This would be our first blackout since 1990. That’s a pretty good run, and the fans have stuck with the team in spite of their 9 and 36 record the past 3 years.

I think we’re just growing weary of bad football and lame excuses. All the while, Clark Hunt continues to raise prices on everything.

I really miss Lamar Hunt. Inherited wealth always breeds morons. I’m looking at you, Clark.

Today the Chiefs snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

I’ve seen a lot of stupid football in my life, but today’s turnovers took the cake.

The pass that bounced off the guys head… ok, that sometimes happens. Although not often.

The ball that Jamal Charles fumbled trying to get an extra inch…. ok, that also happens, but we generally hope not from our starting running back.

The ball that fell backwards inexplicably from Matt Cassel’s hand? That should never happen. Talk about pathetic.

The ball that Rudy Niswanger snapped 30 feet over the head of Matt Cassel? That one was the most bizarre thing I’ve ever seen.

The SECOND ball that Rudy Niswanger snapped 30 feet over the head of Matt Cassel? That one was the most bizarre thing I’d ever seen since the FIRST one.

You can’t turn the ball over 36 times an expect to win. San Diego had 28 points off turnovers.

I’d say if we can hang onto the ball, we can win in this league. My prediction – the Chiefs will win their next three.

Apparently Tiger Woods’ mangled his face in his attempt to avoid having his wife mangle his face.

Apparently Tiger Woods is going to be the top story on every news outlet for the next 3 months.

If Tiger Woods’ wife had succeeded in killing him with a golf club, this story STILL wouldn’t be interesting to me.

Week 11 in the NFL, it’s time for MVP watch. It’s the hot topic on all of the sports radio and TV programs.

I’ve always been an avid Brett Favre fan. I used to think I was a Green Bay fan, but then last year I was a Jets fan and this year I’m a Vikings fan… which tells me that I’m actually just a Favre fan.

He is genuinely happy and excited to be on the field, like a 20 year old. This year he has more passes, less interceptions, and higher quarterback rating (with a nearly 130 rating on passes of 21 yards or more through the air) than anyone. He is dominating the stats, and the Vikings look destined for a Superbowl appearance (we can only hope).

The people who were down on him for coming back… I hope you’re watching. This guy is far from washed up.

League MVP. Possibly Superbowl MVP. I think he is destined for greatness.

Our new head coach, Todd Haley, has coached 6 games as the Chiefs head coach. He has one once. Thus, the morons in Kansas City media are ready to run him out of town.

Never mind that we lost 25 of 26 games BEFORE Haley got here.

The Chiefs haven’t had a good coach since Dick Vermiel retired. The only reason Herm Edwards managed 8-8 his first season was he still had Vermiel’s team pretty much in place.

Herm ran us into the ground with his moronic, wussy, buddy-buddy system.

Todd Haley took a craptastic offense at Arizona and turned it into a Superbowl contender… using the players they already had in place. It didn’t happen overnight, but over a couple of seasons, he made it happen.

If Haley can pull of 4 wins this year, he will double what we did last year. I have a lot of confidence that he is the right guy. He’s a tough nut who’s not afraid to put these guys in their place, which is what we need after wusscake Edwards.

Let’s look at Haley at the end of 2010 and decide if he’s got the right stuff. Until then, let’s let the poor man have a chance.

Larry Johnson, running back for the Kansas City Chiefs, has been an idiot for a long time.

In 2003, he was arrested for felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor domestic battery for waving a gun at his then-girlfriend, during an argument at his home.

In 2005, he was again arrested for assault when a woman accused Johnson of pushing her to the ground.

In 2008, he was arrested after allegedly pushing a woman’s head at a nightclub.

On October 10, 2008, Johnson was arrested for the fourth time and charged with one count of non-aggravated assault for allegedly spitting a drink in a woman’s face at a Kansas City nightclub.

He’s obviously got a problem with women, since he keeps beating them up.

Most recently, he decided to bash his head coach on Twitter, saying he’s got “nuthn” (Larry’s also semi-illiterate). He also bashed his fans and the media on two different occasions after his tweet, calling them “fags” and “faggots” respectively.

Coach Haley has told Larry not to come to practice, but he hasn’t officially suspended him yet.

I think Larry’s done in the NFL. He’s not good anymore, and he’s also a giant tool.

Bye bye, Larry. Try not to kill any women during your retirement.

1 minute left in the first half, he’s got a 4th and one on the 20. He calls TIME OUT… something you would only do to set up the touchdown play. Then he sends out the field goal unit?! Then we miss the kick. Then the Chargers have enough time to go down and get their own field goal. Why do you call that time out if you’re going to kick it?!

I think he’s too busy calling plays to pay attention to the big picture. He probably needs to hire a new coordinator…

He DEFINITELY needs a new running back… one who isn’t a woman-beating loser whiny baby. Larry Johnson. What a sissy.

Brett Favre cemented himself as one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game, and as a living legend.

Favre defeated the Green Bay Packers, making himself the first player to ever beat all 32 teams in the NFL.

He holds the records for Completions, Attempts, Starts, Wins, Touchdows, and Yards.

Peter King ranks Favre as the number 5 quarterback of all time. I’d argue that he’s chomping at the number 4 spot. And frankly, the top 2 guys on the list are from the 30’s and 40’s – guys who would be destroyed in today’s league.

I have always been a fan of the Packers, but when Favre left there 2 years ago, I realized I actually only liked Favre. Last year I was a Jets fan, and this year I’m a Vikings fan.

I would love to see Brett win another Superbowl.

And on a side note, former Chief Jared Allen set a new Monday Night Football record of 4.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and a safety. What the Chiefs were thinking getting rid of Allen is unfathomable. Jared Allen and Tony Gonzales were the heart of our team, and they ditched them both.

Anyhow, good on Jared Allen and Brett Favre!

Ok, I know I’m supposed to think that Scott Pioli and Todd Haley are brilliant football minds with a long-term plan to get the Chiefs to the Superbowl.

One of their offseason moves was to sign Matt Cassel to a 60 Million dollar deal.

Now, I agreed that Brody Croyle and Tyler Thigpen were awful quarterbacks, and I even agreed that Cassel was probably better. However, signing him to a huge multi-year contract? Not smart.

Turns out Cassel does not make good decisions when he’s under pressure – which is going to happen a lot since we have a 6 dollar offensive line protecting our 60 million dollar quarterback.

On third and long (which was pretty common) he kept throwing passes BEHIND the line of scrimmage. Ummm. Do you not understand that you have to get the ball past the down marker?

My favorite play of the game was when we had a 4th and 27 from our own 12 yard line. We WENT for it. And not only did we GO for it, Cassel decided to throw an EIGHT yard pass.

So we turned the ball over on downs on our own 20.

If you’re going to hit the desperation button and go for it in that situation, wouldn’t you at least throw a hail Mary?

Come on Cassel. Grow a brain!
