A Steaming Pile in Washington

And no, I’m not even talking about the members of Congress…

If they pass this revised bailout bill tonight, you’d better hide your wallet and stock up on non-perishables.

This is the most anti-American, anti-capitalistic concept ever cooked up, and it’s been cooked up by a guy who’s supposedly a conservative Republican.

Call your representatives and tell them where they can stick this steaming pile of legislation.

    But if they don’t pass it the world will sink into a depression, and since there’s no universal health care it will cost $800,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 billion trillion gazillion dollars for a one month supply of Prozac and I don’t think Al Gore has that much room left on his AMEX black card.

    The same people who got us into this situation are now going to take more of our money to “fix it”. We’ll see. I think we’re screwed either way.

    Hey Pete,

    What if you are right? What if high living, entertainment culture, and world domination aren’t REALLY the most important things? What if this “we don’t have a choice” rhetoric means that we are now heading towards, not socialism, but full-blown dictatorship or at a minimum an oligarchy? I’d hate to think that we traded our freedom for a Platinum Visa and Paris Hilton. . .I think I could probably have brokered a better deal on my own.
