2nd Annual Incredi-Contest
That’s right, it’s time for Pete’s annual WordPress site giveaway!!!
The prize? A fully configured, totally neato, customized, and personalized domain with WordPress. If I’ve already set up your WordPress site, then leave me alone… you’ve already experienced heaven.
If you’re tired of being on one of those “Big Sites” like Blogger, Xanga, or Diaryland, then you need to have your own domain.
That’s why I’ve decided again, in my incredibly benevolent way, to give one lucky reader their very own site. The complete package would cost you at least $25, and probably more like $75, so it’s a pretty nice prize.
Here’s what you get:
1. 1 year domain registration (i.e. http://ihave1000yearsofpower.com)
2. WordPress install, completely configured (this is the interface you write your crap in)
3. Customized layout so people recognize your site (within reason, I have a real job, too)
4. Help with troubleshooting your site for the first year
5. Help setting up extra features, like discussion forums, calendars, etc.
6. Help moving your archives to the new site (within reason) and instructions on doing it yourself
7. 1 year hosting on my own servers at IHS Web Solutions which includes:
- 100 Megabytes of storage space (for images, content, etc.)
- 6 GB of bandwidth
- Up to 3 subdomains
- 2 SQL databases
Requirements
1. You need not currently have a blog, but it’s fine if you do
2. You must agree to write at least 1 entry per week, barring special circumstances (your personal death, you win the lottery - I get 10%)
3. You must provide a link to IHS Web Solutions on your site
4. You must get the most votes in the poll, which will be posted once people tell me they want their shot

Awesome. I vote for my brother Michael, who recently found my blog thanks to my mother. He started asking me about blogging and I told him to check out your site. You’d love him Pete. Plus he takes awesome photos.

As the reigning inaugural winner of the Incredi-contest while I am no longer eligible to win can I participate in the coronation ceremony? You know pass the crown kind of like what they do with the outgoing Miss America?
Except I really don’t want to have to wear a sash.
