Blogger’s Code of Ethics
Much has been written about the need for a blogging code of ethics. There are three camps when it comes to blogging ethics… those that believe we already have an established, albeit unwritten code, those that believe we don’t have one but that we need one, and those that don’t care.
I believe there already is an unwritten code of ethics, and like many before me, I will try to put it into words right here and now. I was inspired by the latest troll attack on a friend of mine. It’s funny, I take it more personally when it happens to a friend than when it happens to me.

Pete’s Blogging Code of Ethics
1. I will not intentionally misrepresent the facts
2. I will always give attribution when I use materials written by, or published by someone else
3. I will respect the privacy of those I write about, by using their name and/or photos only with permission
4. I will treat respectful visitors with respect, and disrespectful visitors with a curt dismissal
5. I will be respectful of other bloggers whose sites I visit
6. I will defend any blogger who is attacked anonymously, regardless of the accuracy of the comments
7. I will never comment using an alias other than the one by which I am known
8. I will always leave contact information when I post a comment of disagreement
9. I will never use my blog as a tool to harm another person
10. I will always use due diligence to verify the facts of any article or comment I write

What’s a “blogger”?
I’ll have to say #5 is the one i adhere to. If i don’t like said person’s site, i just don’t go back, no need to spout hate towards someone you don’t know, don’t like, and will probably never meet. Unless he’s Michael Moore.
Well that is still just a good guideline right? Not laws…I don’t have to worry about being thrown in Blogger prison.

Jeanna…where are you?
Put me in the “I don’t care” column. I’m just a rebel, I can’t help myself. The point of my blog is that it is MINE. I can do whatever I want with it. Let’s say I called somebody a fart-arsed-panty-waste … just because I post it doesn’t make it true … except for it being my opinion. And my opinion, to me, is a true fact.
I am looking forward to nominating you for president. Let me know when you are ready.
Well, according to the Constitution, I won’t be ready for at least another 8 years.
Damned discriminators!
It’s always nice when the unspoken rules are suddenly spoken. The one thing that aggrivates me more than anything else is if someone has a problem with something I say, and they voice their opinion and then don’t leave a place for a rebuttle. If you have something to say, grow some balls and say it to my “face”. Blech.
